Kinetic typography — words with body language

Type is most of every page — these four effects make it perform without a single image: a hero that rises word by word from behind an invisible mask, a Mexican wave on hover, letters that stretch under the cursor, and a headline revealed by a cursor spotlight.

Word-by-word entrance — the masked rise

Each word rises from behind an invisible line, 80ms apart — the overflow-mask trick that makes agency sites feel expensive. Use it on the hero headline only.

Animate my hero headline in word by word: wrap each word in an outer inline-block span with overflow: hidden, and an inner span that starts translated down 110% (fully hidden by the mask) and slides up to 0 with a 0.55s cubic-bezier(0.2, 0.8, 0.2, 1) ease — each word's transition-delay increasing by 80ms so the line assembles left to right. Trigger on page load (or first scroll into view). Preserve spaces between words. Under prefers-reduced-motion, show the headline instantly.
